The very first Coffee Break Short Film Festival was held on 6 March 2018 in lecture hall XXXIV on the University of Miskolc campus. 40 to 50 people showed up for a 90+ minute preview of some 14 student-made films, in an event hosted by Dr. Eva Pataki. In the end, a select jury of five (Dr. Judit Szabóne Papp, Ruth Levai, Gábor Zapreskó, Ágnes Cziffra, Gábor Gömöri) chose the film below, Journey by Sára Fekete and Eszter Pető, as the winner of the Best Film Award for the festival. In addition, Barbara Vágner (Do You Believe It's Morning?) took home the prize for Best Actress and Krisztián Czaga (The PUNisher) won the award for Best Actor.
